Total luxury. Lovely sir conditioned room. Comfy bed. Amazing choices for breakfast. And the service was amazing. Everyone treats you like you are important and it makes you feel wonderful. Extra big thank you to lovely Gina who made me the most gorgeous bloody Mary cocktail so I could relax in a beautiful setting.

The night manager was amazing - dealt with an issue I had marvelously. Otherwise, this would be one-star. Otherwise, it was basically awful. I felt nickled-and-dimed -- I had to take my clothes to the concierge to get them cleaned versus the hotel picking them up. They charged to borrow an umbrella. 20GBP to have a checkout at noon (30 minutes later they would give for free). Served an awful breakfast buffet (you call those eggs?). Dinner was no better -- the arugula and parmesan salad managed to be awful somehow. No bellhop help to call a taxi. And then the pitiful "executive lounge" -- I paid extra for that? -- there was nothing executive about its comfort or its food or even its usability. Not to mention the fact that the shower couldn't help but get the carpet wet in the room so there was a portion of the carpet that was ruined by prior guests (i kept a towel down once I realized so I didn't contribute to this). Otherwise, the room was clean; just well worn. This was probably a very nice hotel a decade ago, but for the same price you can do much much better in London.

The executive lounge is amazing. Snacks and drinks from 5pm. Kathleen who was working in there was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the upgrade to the executive experience. The team even dropped in some chocolates when I was getting settled into the room.
